2008 Presentations – Selected Listing
Child Welfare League of America
On February 27, 2008, NRCCFI/FCN presented at a super session of the Child Welfare League of America’s Annual Conference (CWLA). The session, entitled The Bill of Rights for Children of the Incarcerated: A Framework for Policy and Practice, brought together service providers, researchers, directly affected and advocates. Presenters discussed research, best practices and on-the-ground strategies related to working with children of the incarcerated.
Children’s Justice Alliance Conference
The Children’s Justice Alliance (CJA) is a non-profit organization that seeks to improve outcomes for children whose parents are involved in the criminal justice system. They convened a symposium in July 2008 bringing together those that work in correctional facilities with community program staff, academicians and policy makers to focus on both the national and Oregon perspectives on responding to the needs of children of the incarcerated.
