A Day I’ll Never Forget by Dana L. Cunningham

  • This book is an excellent read because it provides a child’s perspective of incarceration from a minority point of view. Suggesting this book for adolescents is a great idea because it not only educates, it minimizes insecurities, and paves the way for new and current literature to come about . It is written on a comprehensive level which allows grade school children to understand and apply the coping strategies suggested. Overall this book can be used as a great tool to create awareness and to express one’s real life experiences encaptivated with unexpected trauma. Student Review by Charese Browning
